Phoenix, November 30, 2018 – phoenixNAP®, a global IT services provider offering security-focused cloud infrastructure, dedicated servers, colocation, and specialized Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) technology solutions, announced today it has partnered with the Arizona Cyber Threat Response Alliance (ACTRA), to step up as primary provider for the ACTRA’s Global Cyber Watch Center. As an ACTRA Advisory Board member, phoenixNAP has worked closely with member organizations and developed advanced capabilities in cyber threat detection, event orchestration, and threat IoC enrichment using both publicly available and dark web sources. This experience along with the internal buildout of its InfraSentry: Security Services product offering, created the ideal opportunity to capitalize on this capability to provide value to public and private sector partners to protect critical infrastructure in Arizona.
“In expanding its present watch center capacity and capability, ACTRA’s focus remains thinking globally and acting locally to empower member organizations to empower themselves. In choosing to partner with phoenixNAP in introducing our new collaborative Global Watch Center resource, we selected an organization with full visibility across its global footprint, providing visibility, capability and capacity with proven experience to deliver. Coupling this experience with training phoenixNAP analysts in our established cybersecurity academy and embedding them with our threat hunting and response capabilities raises the bar for both organizations, our mutual constituencies and protecting national security interests. We are proud to bring this increased service capability to our members.” – Frank Grimmelmann, President & CEO of ACTRA.
Developed in collaboration with the FBI, the Arizona Counter Terrorism Information Center (ACTIC), the US Department of Homeland Security, and the Arizona InfraGard Program, ACTRA is a leading authority on cyber security and threat response.
“A small group of dedicated people have tirelessly done their part to protect our cyber posture here in Arizona. This is about joining that team, expanding that scope, and elevating it to a new level. We are honored to be recognized as worthy to hold this torch, or shield, depending on how you look at it. We weren’t the first and won’t be the last, but it’s about stepping up to the plate and making that difference. For Arizona, for our Nation. Thank you for the trust in the phoenixNAP team,” said Anthony Dezilva, Product Manager, Security Services
Having just launched its Security Services offering, taking over as the Global Watch Center is a testament to the quality and scope of the service offering phoenixNAP has built and is now making available to its clients. The alignment with ACTRA raises the bar for both organizations. They are charged with jointly developing capacity and capability for operationalizing threat intelligence with participating organizations’ defenses to move to a predictive capability in responding to cyber adversaries. The joint goal is to improve their Active Threat Defense (ATD) posture by helping innovate and to elevate Threat Detection, IoC enrichment, and Incident Response capabilities through orchestration techniques.
In addition to ACTRA, phoenixNAP is continuing to work with leading vendors in the field, developing new technology solutions. Solutions such as Data Security Cloud, a revolutionary cloud security platform enabling organizations of different sizes to access enterprise-grade secure infrastructure platforms.
“The lack of cybersecurity awareness and strategies can have an incredible impact on both companies and individuals,” said Ian McClarty, President at phoenixNAP. “By supporting the development of the field and collaborating with the recognized cybersecurity institutions, we are hoping to make a difference for everyone.”
phoenixNAP is a Premier Service Provider in the VMware vCloud® Air™ Network Program and a Platinum Veeam Cloud & Service Provider partner. phoenixNAP is also a PCI DSS Validated Service Provider and its flagship facility is SOC Type 1 and SOC Type 2 audited.
